There is a clear distinction between burnout and depression. They have different causes and need to be treated in different ways. But burnout is often followed by a depression – which makes sense: it shuts down the system to get time to heal. I experienced that myself, which was hard but necessary. And I’m now happy I went through this.
What leads to burnout is wrong thinking and wrong beliefs, which mostly is the case with depression as well but the underlying thinking and beliefs are different. To end the syndromes it is necessary to recognize and change those thoughts and beliefs.
The theory sounds easy but the implementation into real life is a bit more tricky. If you’d like to have a conversation about this, please reach out to me.
